What is manga?Put simply, manga are comics and in Japan manga encompass a broad range of styles and themes.The Embassy of Japan has searched for the best comic creators in the UK since 2007. The search now continues with three competitions across two formats with the aim of providing a platform for aspiring comic artists. Deadline for receipt of entries is 8 January 2024.

Yonkoma is a comic strip of four panels arranged vertically. The Yonkoma Youth category is for artists aged 11, 12 or 13 to create an original story within this format.
